Texas Hill Country Red Wine
2010 Malbec has just been released. It won a Silver Medal at Wines of the South Competition in Knoxville, TN.
Primarily grown as a blending grape and used in the French Bordeaux region red wines, it is also a great stand alone varietal with lots of fruit flavor such as plums and cherry.
The vines were planted in 2002 so each year will reflect the maturing of the vine. The wine pairs well with spicy food such as seafood gumbo & with mild dishes such as Fettuccini Alfredo.
